With more than 47,000 minority owned businesses according to the most recent census, Detroit is one of the leading cities in the country for minority ownership. Of those companies, many are restaurants, bars, and food-related businesses. Now a local startup is trying to show off and support some of those black-owned dining spots.

The Soulcial Scene is a group of socially conscious consumers looking to use our spending power to address social issues affecting black communities. Our goal is to use black-owned business growth as a tool to provide resources and job opportunities for black families, which we believe is the key to community transformation.”
